Substance Abuse Treatment Program
A.C.T.S. is a comprehensive faith based life changing program to help those who struggle with the effects of addiction. This program is designed to take the individual from the point that they are in their recovery and walk with them step-by-step into a transformed and meaningful life. A.C.T.S. is making a tangible difference throughout the state of Texas. Since 1990, A.C.T.S. has held classes in district parole offices in Austin, Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, Odessa and other cities in west Texas. This group works quietly, consistently, and passionately. Changed lives are the fruit of their labor and they are making a profound difference in the lives of thousands. Because they personify the definition and spirit of the Substance Abuse Treatment Program volunteer award, A.C.T.S. has been selected as the recipient of this year’s award.
