As a TDCJ employee, you have opinions regarding your employment with the agency; however, how do you express your opinions in a manner that agency leadership and elected officials will hear, while letting you remain anonymous?

The Survey of Employee Engagement is the answer. The survey is coordinated by the University of Texas School of Social Work, and the results are shared with agency leadership and many of Texas’elected officials. There simply is no better method for state employees to anonymously and collectively make their opinions known.

Between January 17, 2012 and February 10, 2012, you will be provided the opportunity to complete the Survey of Employee Engagement. The survey is conducted only once every two years. The survey requires just a few minutes to complete, and it can be completed during work hours, such as during shift turnout for correctional staff. A postage-paid envelope will be provided along with the survey. After sealing your completed survey in the envelope, you can mail the survey from your work location or from a public mailbox. In addition, you may complete the survey on-line. Instructions for on-line completion will be provided on the hard-copy survey.

You have a choice. You can make your opinions known to those who can make a difference, or you can decline this unique opportunity. Again, the choice is yours. I encourage you to participate in this survey.
