Texas Department of Criminal Justice
Promise Camp is a summer camp for children whose mother or father is in prison. Promise Camp cannot change their situation, but the experience can bring hope to children and give them some measure of strength to cope with life. The camp is tuition free and open to children entering 4th, 5th and 6th grades.
This year's camps:
June 20 - 24 - Promise Camp I - Quarterman Ranch, Amarillo,TX (boys & girls entering grades 3-6)
July 18-22 - Promise Camp II - Quarterman Ranch, Amarillo, TX (boys & girls entering grades 3-6)
Transportation to and from the camp to children within the Dioceses, including the cities of Amarillo, Midland-Odessa, Lubbock, Abilene, and San Angelo.
