If an offender is subject of a protective order that was issued on or after September 1, 1999, and is confined or imprisoned on the date the protective order expires, the Texas Family Code, Section 85.025 (c) mandates that the protective order be extended for one year from the date the offender is released from confinement or imprisonment.
