Role of Faith | ||
Mentoring
is teaching life skills; Your mentee may be a non-Christian or they may have no interest in any faith. You can still provide them valuable coaching without proselytizing. It is tempting to spend all your time studying the Bible when mentoring a Christian. The Bible certainly provides practical insight but your job is to show how to use that insight to solve everyday problems. |

| NonChristian mentors and mentees live rewarding and productive lives and your job as mentor is to become a role model for your mentee. There are dozens of churches who want to welcome ex-offenders regardless of faith. These churches can provide valuable local contacts for your mentee. |
