  1. Mature member of a good church
  2. Accountable and understands authority responsibility
  3. Family in order
  4. Available and committed
  5. Willing to learn and attend training
  6. Willing to take spiritual and emotional risks
  7. An awareness of physical risks inside and outside the unit
  8. An ability to confront in love
  9. Understands that both mentor and mentee will grow
  10. Be willing to cooperate with parole
  11. Has a knowledge of prayer and spiritual warfare
  12. Personal finances are in order to guide mentee with his finances
  13. Willing to recruit potential new mentors

A mentor can expect a mentee to assist them in overcoming personal problems in their life.
