There are certain warning signs that should cause you to
review your attitudes and your actions.
You feel anger toward the system
You begin to see yourself as an advocate for offenders
You become irritated by institutional delays (count, call out)
You favor one offender over another
You share personal information
You enjoy hearing and start believing that you are the only one who
understands them and can help them
You want to ”rescue” them from the consequences of their
actions
An afternoon electrical storm interrupts the power to the unit. Correctional
officers tell you that you must leave immediately. This is obviously
unfair because there is plenty of daylight in the room.
Should you demand to argue your case with the warden?
