Team Charter for Women Offenders Working Group

Identify current gender-specific programming and/or supervision practices in the state juvenile justice and adult criminal justice systems.

Identify gender-specific best practices for women offenders in the state or nation.

Develop a plan to coordinate Task Force efforts with existing gender-specific programming or practices, and incorporate offender-specific issues and needs as necessary.

Identify current gaps in gender-specific programming (including treatment, support services, and family unification programs), including those caused by the following:

statutory barriers
regulatory barriers
programmatic barriers
resource barriers
implementation barriers
eligibility criteria barriers

Develop recommendations that will address the gaps, and report those recommendations and all other findings to the Task Force.
