Team Charter for Information Sharing Working Group

Identify current information sharing practices among local and state entities (Department of Public Safety, Health and Human Services Commission, Department of State Health Services, Department of Family Protective Services, Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments, etc.)

Identify current information sharing practices among criminal justice agencies (Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Texas Juvenile Probation Commission, Community Justice Assistance Division, Department of Public Safety, Probation and Parole, etc.) at both state and local levels.

Identify gaps in information sharing between or among the following:

the local and state criminal justice agencies listed above
the local and state entities listed above

Identify barriers to information sharing, including:

federal and state statutory limitations or barriers
technological limitations or barriers
resource limitations
implementation limitations
other

Develop recommendations that will address the gaps and barriers, and report those recommendations and all other findings to the Task Force.
