Team Charter for Community Reentry Working Group

Identify current reentry-related support programs or initiatives available at the state and local level.

Identify successful reentry practices or models currently in operation in Texas communities.

Assess how reentry-related support programs or initiatives (including successful practices and models) are currently coordinating their reintegration efforts with state-level entities.

Identify barriers that impact offenders’ successful reentry from local or state correctional facilities into Texas communities, including those caused by:

statutory barriers
regulatory barriers
programmatic barriers
resource barriers
implementation barriers

Develop recommendations that will address the barriers, and report those recommendations and all other findings to the Task Force.
