Selecting the PERS 283 (Word Template) version of the State of Texas Application for Employment form will download an executable file that will extract a Microsoft Word template. It is recommended that you save this file to your desktop. Once the file has been successfully downloaded, the "pers-283 icon" will be available from your desktop.
The template contains macros which adds the following features to the application form:
Additional Employment History Pages can be inserted with the click of a button
Once completed, the form and form fields can be spell-checked
Please note: For these features to work properly, macros must be enabled. You may need to adjust your security settings to receive a prompt to enable macros.
