Has it been more than 36 months since you were employed as a Correctional Officer or security supervisor?
If it has been more than 36 months since you were employed as a TDCJ Correctional Officer or security supervisor, you will be required to complete the Correctional Officer screening process.
You will need to complete the State of Texas Application for Employment and the TDCJ Employment Application Supplement and bring the completed forms to your scheduled screening appointment. If selected for employment, you will be required to attend the pre-service training academy.
Has it been 36 months or less since you were employed as a Correctional Officer or security supervisor?
If it has been less than 36 months since you were employed as a TDCJ Correctional Officer or security supervisor, you will not need to complete the Correctional Officer screening process. You should complete and submit the State of Texas Application for Employment and the TDCJ Employment Application Supplement to the address provided below. If you are reemployed within 36 months of your separation date, you will not be required to complete the pre-service training academy.
