Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

TDCJ employees may purchase voluntary AD&D coverage for up to $200,000 in multiples of $5,000 with a minimum purchase of $10,000. Employees may also purchase AD&D coverage for eligible dependents.

Coverage

AD&D coverage for the spouse may be 50% of employee coverage;

AD&D coverage for children may be 10% of employee coverage if the spouse is not covered; or

5% of employee coverage if the spouse is covered.

Employee Cost

Employee Only: $0.02 per $1,000 coverage

Employee & Family: $0.04 per $1,000 coverage
