Commissary Products
One or more commissaries are located at each unit and are staffed by a manager and, based on facility size and sales volume, one or more assistants. Authorized offenders may use funds available in their trust fund accounts to purchase merchandise from these commissaries. The unit commissaries sell over 700 individual items including snacks, nutritional supplements, personal hygiene, educational supplies, entertainment and clothing. Food items also include kosher items to meet certain religious guidelines and requirements.
