Executive Administrative Services

Executive Services

To assist TDCJ staff and the Board of Criminal Justice in fulfilling their missions, goals and objectives. Our office functions as a resource center by providing reliable information, quality publications, objective analysis, and useful technical assistance.

What We Do

Executive Services performs statistical analysis; coordinates and electronically distributes all Executive Directives, Board Policies, and Administrative Directives for the agency; supports Board of Criminal Justice meetings; develops speeches and presentations; coordinates and monitors community work projects and public service programs; completes national surveys; maintains the Records Retention Schedule for the agency; coordinates the State Employee Charitable Campaign; provides information and supports special projects; and provides technical assistance wherever needed.

Executive Services is also responsible for producing numerous publications, including Fiscal Year Statistical Report, Unit Profiles, Agency Organizational Charts, and the General Information Guide for Families of Offenders (English/Español).

Research coordination is another function performed by Executive Administrative Services. Research is defined as an empirical review and analysis of information on processes, operations, and programs concerning offenders under adult supervision in the criminal justice system; employees; and records. Executive Services coordinates research conducted by individuals and organizations external to the TDCJ or by employees seeking individual benefit, such as a thesis, dissertation, or other publication.
