Emergency Action Center (EAC)

To gather information regarding potential risks to the agency and the state, and to provide a consistent, valid, and timely source of information to agency managers.

What We Do

The Emergency Action Center (EAC) provides a twenty-four hour communication link between the Texas Board of Criminal Justice (TBCJ), unit/department staff and administrative staff regarding serious or unusual incidents. The EAC ensures that all incidents are reported according to policy and procedure and provide data for the generation of statistical summaries. The EAC also coordinates and disseminates information regarding emergency preparedness (hurricanes, tornados, floods, etc.)
