Texas Department of Criminal Justice
The Plans and Operations Department provides support to divisional leadership in tracking and implementation of legislation and coordinates and staffs all security-related policies and operational plans.This department may serve as the liaison to other state agencies and governmental officials. Plans and Operations participates in research, evaluation, and audits of offender suicide prevention, manages the CID web page and disseminates information concerning emergency preparedness. This department also coordinates, trains, and audits the agency’s offender property process, audits offender suicides, and community work project procedures. In addition, this department provides offender drug testing training to the drug testing coordinators and compiles various reports.
