Angela McCown was selected as director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Victim Services Division in August. She began her position on October 1.
McCown has more than 13 years of experience of victim services, serving the past 10½ years as victim services director for the Texas Department of Public Safety. She previously served as victim services counselor and supervisor for the Austin Police Department.
McCown replaces Raven Kazen, who retired in May.
