Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Awards
Each spring, the Texas Board of Criminal Justice has the honor of hosting the Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Awards Ceremony. Created in 1995, these service awards honor individuals that unselfishly give of themselves to assist in the rehabilitation of offenders and to provide the offenders with hope and opportunities for a better life.

ERS announces Annual Enrollment dates for Plan Year 2013
Annual Enrollment for Plan Year 2013 will begin July 2 and end August 10. This year, enrollment takes place in phases, with all employees of the same agency having two weeks to make enrollment changes.

Updates to United HealthCare Services administrator contract
Beginning September 1, 2012, United HealthCare Services, Inc. will serve as the third party administrator for the HealthSelect of Texas plan, replacing Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX).

Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week, July 15-21
July 15-21 is Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week, a time to recognize and acknowledge the more than 3,400 community supervision (probation) officers and 1,200 TDCJ parole officers who serve on the front lines of criminal justice in Texas.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice held the Fallen Officers' Memorial Ceremony in Huntsville to honor the dedicated professionals who lost their lives in the line of duty.
