Winners Circle Peer Support Network of Texas, Community Service

2009 Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Service AwardThe Winners Circle community is a state and national support peer network of recovering ex-offenders whose focus is to raise the foundation of living.

The members participate as role models and mentors. They volunteer in the prisons and provide information to those trying to re-establish themselves after release. They are recovery sponsors and participate as presenters at support group meetings.

This peer network group supports and encourages newer members by sharing their experiences and successes as well as their aspirations. For their volunteer service to Texas communities, Winners Circle Peer Support Network of Texas has been selected as the recipient of the Community Service Award.
