2009 Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Awards
Robert and Audrey Dubois, Private Facility Contract Monitoring/Oversight Division
Robert and Audrey Dubois have been volunteering at the Cleveland Correctional Center in Cleveland, Texas since 1995. Besides routine ministry services, they also provide Christmas packages each year for the offenders and arrange for special guest speakers.
Their faithfulness is evident as they continue their volunteer service despite medical issues that have restricted Mrs. Dubois' mobility. Even after a serious car accident that totaled their vehicle, they fulfilled their commitment to minister on their scheduled second Sunday of each month.
For their dedicated service, Robert and Audrey Dubois have been selected to receive the Private Facilities Contract Monitoring/Oversight (PFCMOD) Division Award.
