Jorge Santana, Religious Service
Jorge Santana conducts weekly Spanish worship services at the Holliday Unit and several other TDCJ units. The Holliday Unit is the first stop for many men sentenced to prison. Some of these men have never been to prison before and they are frightened. As many of these men do not speak or understand English. Jorge stepped in and began a very special ministry for Spanish speaking offenders. Jorge is always very willing to help in any way and his volunteer work is highly respected and appreciated by the offenders and the staff at the Holliday Unit. Because of his special ministry, Jorge Santana has been selected as a recipient of the TDCJ Religious Service Volunteer Award.
