2008 Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Sevice Award
C.F. Hazlewood, TDCJ Employee Volunteer
C.F. Hazlewood has been selected to receive the TDCJ Employee Volunteer Award. C.F. is the Director of Agriculture, Land & Minerals for TDCJ and has been a volunteer at the Eastham Unit since 1980. He faithfully ministers six (6) times each year at the Eastham Unit and responds to the Chaplain when he calls for additional assistance. C.F. has an unusual ability to speak to the spiritual needs and concerns of the offender population. The offenders at Eastham always look forward to hearing his exposition of the Christian Gospel and the requirements of faith. Over the years C.F.'s ministry has been a great asset to the Chapel programming needs at the Eastham Unit.
